What is my address?

A crypto address is a string of characters derived from your public key via hashing. It’s similar to your bank account number or email and is used to specify “where” crypto is sent from and to.

Please note: address ≠ key.

Different blockchains have different address formats. For example, Ethereum addresses start with 0x and are 40 hexadecimal characters long. Bitcoin addresses start with 1, 3, or bc1 and are 27-34 alphanumeric characters long.
